The Saturday Club | Nancy DiSabatino D’Angelo

1 cup butter

3/4 cup sugar

1 cup light brown sugar

2 eggs

1-1/2 teaspoon vanilla

2-1/4 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1 12-ounce package chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350°. Beat butter and 2 kinds of sugar; add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Gradually add flour, baking soda, and salt; mix well. Dough should be sticky. Add chocolate chips and mix. Drop dough from a teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake 8–10 minutes.

Yield: 6 dozen

Notes:

  1. Used Guittard semisweet chocolate baking wafers

  2. Since the chocolate wafers are rather larger than standard chocolate chips, these dough balls were about double the size I’d normally bake
